The developmental process of becoming and adult is filled with challenges.

We have worked with adolescents and their families for over 20 years.

Some teenagers in their exploration of life get caught in the trap of alcohol and drug abuse that detour them from developing healthy relationship skills and skills necessary for a healthy and successful adult life.

Other teenagers become stuck in depression, anxiety, social anxiety, avoidance, social isolation and relationship conflict.

If these emotional and behavioral concerns do not get addressed, they can lead to poor grades in school, behavioral problems, drug and alcohol abuse and increased conflict at home.

For some teens, unaddressed issues may evolve into more chronic depression and anxiety in adulthood.

How Counseling for Adolescents Can Help

We enjoy building relationships with the teenagers we work with.

Through this relationship, your adolescent can learn new skills, learn how to think and problem solve better and begin to see more options and opportunities to live a better life.

They can learn to manage their moods, behavior and develop better relationships skills that can help them feel more confident as they interact with their peers and become more focused at school.

In our practices, we are aware of the importance of family involvement in the therapy process.

Many times, it is necessary for family involvement in order to obtain the results we all agree on during the assessment and treatment planning process.
